On the occasion of 200 years (1816-2016) since the acquisition of the so-called Parthenon Marbles of the Elgin collection by the British Museum (actually comprising architectural members and architectural sculptures from all the monuments of the Acropolis), the Society of Friends of the Acropolis has decided to issue the present publication so as to known new elements relevant to the question, which recent research has brought to light.
