This guide is a record of all the information provided not only by historical texts and terrestrial and underwater excavations, but also by epigraphic and numismatic evidence and geophysical, geographical and hydrological research. The geographical location of the city is presented and after the history of the excavations dating back to the years of the Frankish rule (1191 – 1489), the History of the city and the kingdom follows, from the Neolithic period (c. 8000 BC) to the Byzantine period (7th century). Evidence of this historical course is that it is preserved through sculpture, ceramics, clay objects, jewelry and utilitarian and religious objects. The description of the city’s ruins is accompanied by drawings and representations. The publication is also enriched with photographs of the finds as well as old engravings.
