The publication begins with a preface by the publisher and is followed by a greeting from the Metropolitan of Morphou, Mr. Neophytos, under whose jurisdiction the monument falls.
Through the pages of the Guide, a review is made of the history and location of the village of Pedoulas and its ecclesiastical monuments. The chapter on the architecture of the church of Archangel Michael, which is of the type of single-nave wooden-roofed church, follows. The church ends in the east in a protruding semicircular apse. In the western and southern parts, the church has a portico. The roof, the floor, the doors, the altar, the pews and the iconostasis are examined in separate sections.
The chapter on the iconographic program presents the frescoes of the church, signed in 1474 by the painter Minas from Myrianthousa, while special commentary is made on the votive fresco with the family of the donor priest Vasilios Hamados and the monumental depiction of the sword-bearing Archangel Michael.
The next chapter discusses iconographic and stylistic observations concerning the fresco decoration and description of the icons of the church, which are works by Minas (around 1474) and Loukas (16th century).
The Glossary, List of full-page photographs and the Bibliography are then given. Finally, architectural drawings of the church made by Mr. Diomedes Myriantheas, Architect, are presented. All the frescoes of the church are depicted and numbered on the front sides of the drawings.
